Why is chalk paint a really good choice?
Chalk paint differs from traditional paint in several ways which makes it super easy to get a great matt effect without having to be a superstar painter.

Although chalk paint is used for furniture and art projects, you can paint almost anything as long as you have a clean dry surface ( even if has already been painted) Two surfaces that are not recommended is metal or shiny laminate.

DIYers love using chalk paint on vintage pieces that have cracks or lots of details, since the paint goes on smoothly, even over layers of paint.

Because of its consistency, chalk paint does not drip as much as regular paint does.

As Chalk paint is water-based, you can clean your brushes with soap and water rather than using mineral spirits.

Real Chalk Paint is a water-based paint that adheres to most surfaces with little or no preparation. Real Chalk Paint is easy to apply and fast drying . Real Chalk Paint can be used primarily on furniture for a shabby chic or decorative finish.
Application of Real Chalk Paint:
Real Chalk Paint is available as a white or tinted to a colour of your choice.
Real Chalk Paint can be applied to almost any surface.
Certain surfaces like glass need a primer. Check with a technical consultant or do an adhesion test prior to painting.
We recommend a light 100 grit sand before painting commences.
Apply 2 – 3 coats by brush or roller allowing an hour to dry between coats.
We recommend sealing Real Chalk Paint with Real Seal after 24 hours for washability and durability.

It has the power to turn a bedroom dresser into a standout piece, or gives a dining room table old-school charm. The best part: when painting a piece of furniture, you don’t have to worry about stripping previous layers of paint first, unless you want a super smooth look and feel.
